Oesophago- Gastro - Duodenoscopy
An OGD scopy procedure is used to look at your oesophagus (food pipe), stomach and first part of your small bowel
It is used to find out if there is any disease or inflammation present
It is also known as gastroscopy or endoscopy
An endoscopy offers an opportunity to collect tissue samples to test for disease that may be causing anemia, bleeding, inflammation, it can also detect some cancer of the upper digestive system.
